Aquatics

The HIS Gold Dragons Swim Team is a fun and exciting year-long activity, which allows students from Grades 2-12 to learn the skills of competitive swimming and gain valuable experience while being physically challenged.  Younger students are also accepted into our Swim Team Development Squad.

The team is divided into 6 squads by skill level and ability; Gold, Pre-Gold, Silver, Bronze, Blue, and Tadpoles. All students are invited to attend tryouts where the coaches will review each swimmer’s ability and inform swimmers and parents of the appropriate level and squad shortly after the session. 

Each year, members of the team will have the opportunity to compete in between 10-14 swim meets, mostly in Hangzhou and Shanghai, but also at invitational meets throughout China. The team's training facility, "The Wave", is our brand new 25m pool located on-site and equipped with high-quality training and competition facilities and spectator viewing areas. We will generally host 3-4 swim meets each year at our campus.
