Dear Families,
Great Start to Semester2
Congratulations to all families on how you prepared your children for their start or return to school. The students have settled quickly and are back into their studies and catching up with friends smoothly.
For students new to the school, all staff are carefully monitoring how they are adjusting and putting in place lots of structures to help them understand routines and procedures in the classroom, scaffold language, and support friendships.
I attended the first day of the CCA organization, and it was highly successful, and the students quickly found their groups!
CCA 2 commences next week
A gentle reminder that CCA2 started today, Monday, 15 January 2024. Parents, please check the notification you have received from the School about the days and CCAs your child will attend.
Please inform your child's class teacher if there are any changes in your child's attendance at the CCA so that the teacher running the activity is aware. We take attendance at the beginning of each CCA class.
Also, if your child usually catches the late bus but you are picking them up or have some other arrangement *, e.g.,( a play date ), please ensure Tracy knows from Buses, and the class teacher is also aware.

Count Up to 100 Days of School
Students have been marking each day of school with a math activity. Each class has days they must celebrate and provide a way of showing that number .today we are day 80 and have 20 more days to our 100-day celebration.
Save the date
Please save the date for our English/ESL Curriculum Night on Wednesday, 28 February at 6.00 pm-7.30 pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to see how the English curriculum develops from EY1-Grade12 and the language demands of each grade level. It also highlights the support students receive to match their cognitive levels with The required linguistic demands of the curriculum.
A night not to miss!
School Uniforms
I want parent support and help to ensure that students in the Lower School from EY1 -grade 5 are dressed daily in the official HIS school uniform. Please visit the uniform shop and purchase additional items for the longer, cooler months ahead. As always, please clearly label any of your child's items. We will be monitoring the situation.
I appreciate your quick support with this matter.
Kind regards,
Lynn
