The HIS University Counseling team views each student holistically, helping them to discover their strengths, weaknesses, passions, and interests. Your student is more than a number to us. They are a unique individual with a future of their own.

Our team is your child’s advocate, leveraging their expertise to help find the best-fit university for each student. This includes insider knowledge from college admission offices from around the world.

Applying to university doesn’t need to be complicated or difficult, but it does take time. We help students through the process, simplifying and demystifying common myths, with a structured counseling program for G9 – G12.

Starting in 9^th grade, our counselors get to know the students and guide them throughout high school with course selection, crafting outstanding essays, writing recommendations, generating the university list, and, most importantly, being the constant advocate for your student, guiding them through self-reflection and resilience exercises.

The HIS University Counseling Team is always available. Always eager to connect university representatives with our students.

What we offer to students and parents:

Direct communication and insider connections with universities

Our university counselors have trusted relationships with admission officers and universities, providing students with insider insight into evolving admission practices. We rely on BridgeU as our primary communication platform with admissions offices for submitting official transcripts, predicted grades, and letters of recommendation. It serves as a college and career organization and guidance tool to assist students throughout the application process.

University fairs and networking events

Visits by university admission representatives from the USA, UK, Australia, Europe, Canada, Hong Kong, and Singapore are arranged throughout the year, giving parents and students the opportunity to meet with representatives and learn about the campus culture, academic programs, and admission criteria. The annual HIS Global University Fair in the fall invites 100+ universities to network with our community.

It takes a village – families are important!

We encourage parents to be part of the university admissions process. Afterall, it takes the entire village (teachers, coaches, parents, and counselors) to support a student through the university application process.

We encourage parents to attend the university counseling workshops to learn about the diverse admissions and application systems within each country to better support their student with realistic expectations and up-to-date knowledge.
